Boeing demonstrated ability to destroy airscrafts with laser

Lockheed Martin’s first optimized conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) F-35 Lightning II fighter made its inaugural flight on Saturday, Nov. 14, the fourth F-35 to begin flight operations.

Eurofighter Typhoon at Dubai Airshow 2009

For the first time at the Dubai International Air Show a Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft took to the skies on day one of the five day long event. The show, which Eurofighter has a large presence at thanks to its large pavilion and full scale replica, kicked off yesterday with visits from the Royal Air Force’s Chief of Air Force Sir Stephen Dalton among others.

The UK’s Largest Unmanned Aircraft Completes Initial Flight Trials

BAE_MantisDuring subsequent flights, MANTIS successfully completed a series of trials demonstrating the capability of the system and the potential of large unmanned systems to support future UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) operational needs. Lockheed Martin to modernize A-10

A-10_Thunderbolt_II_1Lockheed Martin has received three contracts totaling $7.7 million from the U.S. Air Force for the continued modernization and sustainment of the A-10 close air support fighter jet.

German Eurofighter Typhoon set for air surveillance

ILA2000-003_EurofighterNATO has chosen a squadron of German Eurofighter Typhoon’s for air surveillance of the Baltic States Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. Eurofighter is not only a modern advanced fighter jet but also a surveying aircraft. Italian Air Force had earlier send their Typhoon Squadron to Albania.

First F-35

Lockheed_Martin_F-35_Lightning_II_inflightNorthrop Grumman Corporation has started the production of the first international F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. An short take off and vertical landing variant for the United Kingdom designated BK-1. Northrop Grumman Corporation began the production by producing the center fuselage which is the core structure around which F-35 is built on. The company started assembling Bk-1 center fuselage three days before the date indicated by the program’s schedule.
