India show cased it’s military power this year in it’s republic day parade. The main attractions were of Indian Airforce inventory. India show cased a mock-up of yet-to-inducted Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). The new AWACS from Israeli Aerospace Industries will fitted on a Russian made IL-76 aircraft as it’s base.

There were also fly-past featuring helicopters Mi-17IV and Mi-35, transport aircraft IL-76, AN-32 and Dorniers, a tanker aircraft IL-78, fighters Su-30MKI, Jaguar, BAE System’s Hawk and MiG-29.

India’s indigenously built Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter, Rohini 3D radars and Agni-III also were in the display.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy was the Chief Guest at this year’s parade. He’s on a two-day visit to India, during which several agreements between India and France have been signed. They include pacts on defence and civil nuclear cooperation, transfer of technology trade and education.
